About the label

La Familia Releases is a punk label run by me, Stachel. Running my labels is my hobby and passion for over 10 years now. La Familia Releases is the name I chose when I decided to close down the three previous labels Unsociable, Hate Records and the Contamination Distribution and operate it all under one new name. The name is a result of support I received from people in and around the scene and from my family and friends after I had a serious car accident together with the band Bombenalarm.

I nearly exclusively work with bands I know members, am friends with and have a connection. Sure the music is important for me but since it’s a really time and money intense hobby I prefer to put my energy into working with people I know. I mainly focus on punk, metal and hardcore music with it’s sub genres.

My label is not a political agenda to me. Bands don’t need to share same opinions and thoughts and business practices but they should accept my way of doing things and for sure I don’t work with bands/people who cross certain lines I can’t stand for. One thing for certain, La Familia Releases places itself as anti-fascist. Also the label is based in the d.i.y. community and mainly works within its network and that’s how I like it. I will maybe write a more detailed history at one point but for now this should be it.

I want to thank all the people who helped starting it, help me keep it running, get me motivated and rock my world.

Unsociable

Unsociable was the first label. Uppercrust HC in its finest form. The first releases included Jeniger and Zeroid records.

Hate Records

Hate Records was the second label that we founded. It was more dedicated to raw punk rock and dis-beat records and therefore stood apart from the Unsociable releases.

Contamination Distribution

Contamination was mainly a record mailorder and wholesale distribution. But we supported a couple of our friends releases under this label and helped out distributing them.
